No prior experience or training in somatic, dance movement or writing techniques is required.

A safe and creative environment will be facilitated by experienced practitioners Beatrice Allegranti and Jonathan Wyatt.

Becoming Bodies

From 2009-2011, with a commission from the hYbrid project at the Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Porto, Beatrice developed Becoming Bodies, a project that aims to engage in a dialogue between dance movement psychotherapy, performance practice and scientific knowledge. Becoming Bodies culminates with a 34 min [colour] performative documentary including a combination of dance theatre and narrative interviews conducted with an international group of scientists and philosophers in the fields of evolutionary biology and genomics. Becoming Bodies has a specially commissioned sound score by Jill Halstead and exhibition photography by Jackie King and Nick Du Plessis. Screenings in the UK and Porto will be posted during June 2012. See:http://becomingbodies.blogspot.co.uk/
